Ridge venting provides the greatest amount of air flow or exchange between your roof and the outside air. This air exchange creates a temperature transition between your attic and the outside environment, which prevents condensation. Cutting a gap along the length of your ridge and then enclosing it with a vented ridge cap designed to allow warm, moist air to flow out of your attic is how a ridge vent is installed. Not all roof designs have a long enough ridge to make a ridge vent useful. To learn more about ridge venting, get in touch with our team.
